Raymond Metzger, PT
Graduated from the Ohio State University’s Physical Therapy program in 1970. His work experiences have included supervisor and Department head responsibilities for 35 years before stepping back into his first love: clinical care. He designed the Rehab departments of 2 new-construction facilities in Cadillac and Escanaba Michigan; was the PT Director at First Health Moore Regional Hospital from 1988 through 1992. Ray’s work experience also includes development of a multi-disciplinary Pain Management Center at Cape Fear Valley Health System (a position for which he received national recognition in the American Physical Therapy Association’s professional publication “PT Magazine”), development of an LTAC facility at Highsmith –Rainey Hospital, Fayetteville NC. Ray’s specialty interests remain pain management, manual therapy, outpatient orthopaedics, wound management. He is certified in trigger point dry needling by Myopain. Ray and his wife reside on a farm near Carthage, NC; “family” includes assorted horses, dogs, and cats. Ray’s off-duty interests include recreational riding, farm work, and bow hunting; he is a certified ice hockey referee, a Master’s level ice hockey coach, and a fledgling ballroom dancer.
