Leigh Nicolas, PT Tech, PWR
Leigh is from McGaheysville, Va, and she graduated from Bridgewater College in 2015 with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. She then attended American National University and received a diploma as a Medical Office Professional in 2017. She became a Parkinson’s Wellness Instructor (PWR®) in May of 2018.
She grew up playing travel basketball, travel softball, swimming and diving and has always enjoyed staying fit in life. She still continues to play slow-pitch on a co-ed team even to this day. Leigh has had her own experience with Physical Therapy after tearing her ACL in April of 2008 playing softball and then a car accident in September of 2013.
Outside of work, Leigh enjoys cooking, gardening, working out and is a volunteer softball coach at Spotswood High School. Leigh also enjoys volunteering at their local food pantry helping those in need. What she loves about Appalachian Physical Therapy, is the opportunity she has to work with those in need and being a group fitness instructor to their Parkinson’s Program.
